Barrister Okeme Wins Labour Party’s Kogi Governorship Ticket

Leading lawyer and businessman, barrister Adejo Okeme won the Labor Party gubernatorial ticket for Kogi’s election.
Attorney Okeme won 127 votes against his closest opponent, AVM Isaac Alfa, who won 69 votes in the primary election held in the state capital Lokoja on Saturday. Attorney Okeme is from the Kogi East Senate district.

Before the start of the election, Attorney Okeme told reporters that addressing unemployment and paying wages quickly would be at the top of his list of priority projects if he had the opportunity to become governor. on January 27, 2024.

Okeme also said his administration won’t mess with security without which no business can thrive anywhere…

“I am a businessman and I know fully well that you need a conducive atmosphere for business to thrive and therefore, I will not joke with the issue of security.”
