MAY 30: ARMY, POLICE CLASH WITH IMO STATE IPOB

As the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) observe a May 30 sit-at-home in the Southeast geo-political zone to mark the remembrance of fallen comrades and those who paid the ultimate price for the liberation of Biafra, soldiers and police invaded their meeting point in Amucha Orlu, Imo State.
The bloody invasion led to the shooting of many people who were hospitalized as the gallant and fearless Amucha youths fought against any arrest. The death of two soldiers and three policemen were also recorded.
Meanwhile, the Imo State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Henry Okoye who confirmed the report said soldiers and the policemen were on a special peace keeping in Amucha the home base of IPOB agitators, lamenting that it turned out to be a bloody peace keeping with loss of lives.
ASP Okoye who condemned the attack stated that Amucha youths are fond of taking laws into their hands and have been a thorn in the flesh of security operatives.
He further used the opportunity to say that all efforts to search and arrest a fleeing Amucha son, Mr. Ekene Daniel Agwaraonye, a died-hard IPOB Youth Leader/Strong Member are in top gear and that he has been declared wanted in late November, 2019. He also assured that those who have a hand in the recent attack in Amucha will be brought to book in no distant time.
According to an online report by The Cable online media, May 30 is described as a special day set aside by Ipob to remember Biafra fallen heroes who paid the ultimate price as a people. It was alleged that Biafra supporters were killed, illegally abducted, and detained and that is the reason they are gathered to remember the sacrifices the heroes and heroines paid never to be forgotten.
In this regard, every May 30 is another day held as sacrosanct to remember their fallen heroes, heroines, and comrades who died in defence of the separatist state of Biafra since 1967 till date, just as the sit-at-home order was introduced by IPOB to protest the unlawful detention of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra.
