Gov. Ishaku Debunks Approving N2bn For Vehicles’ Purchase For Self, Deputy, Wives

Taraba Governor Darius Ishaku has denied allegations that he approved N2 billion to buy luxury cars for himself, his deputy, Haruna Manu, and their wife as severance pay.
“Governor Darius Ishaku, at our most recent SEC meeting, asked the board to approve a memorandum of understanding he had submitted to purchase vehicles for himself, his deputy, and their wives, and he was quickly approved without any controversy,” a Premium Times source said.

The report notes that the memo presented by the governor states that he will receive two Toyota Land Cruiser SUVs, two Toyota Hilux escort vehicles, and a utility vehicle while his wife will receive a Land Cruiser. Worth 1.3 billion naira.

But Ishaku, who denied the report in a statement by his special adviser on the media and public, Bala Dan-Abu, on Sunday, revealed that the report was false and the work of the opposition. to tarnish his image.  The statement added that the report was “just the imagination of the social media editors”.

“It’s nothing. We don’t want the mainstream media to acknowledge that” he added.
