Senator Dino Melaye, who represents West Kogi Senatorial District in the 8th National Assembly, expressed his interest in the upcoming gubernatorial election in Kogi State.
The former MP made this clear in a campaign poster titled ‘No more robbery and murder’, tweeted on his official Twitter account on Wednesday.
PRESLOADED reports that the move comes just a month after Atiku Abubakar’s defeat in the presidential election.
Melaye was one of the spokespersons for the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Campaign Council, PCC, during Atiku’s election campaign.
However, Atiku of the PDP was defeated by the current president-elect, Bola Tinubu of the ruling All Peoples Progressive Congress, APC. PRESLOADED also reiterated that in May 2022, Dino struggled to win the senatorial ticket under the PDP but lost to Hon. TJ Yusuf.
