Chrisland Schools have been trending on social media over the unfortunate rape scandal involving a 10-year-old female student during a School Competition in Dubai.
In a series of Tweets, music executive Ubi mentioned that the 10-year-old was selected to represent her school in a sporting game in Dubai. He said while at the competition, the girl was raped, video tapped and the video was posted on Instagram a month ago.
On the 14th of April, 2022, letter to the girl’s parent, seen by Peoples Gazette, authorities at Chrisland School in Victoria Island Garden City told the girl’s father that she took part in “improper behaviour” after playing the truth-or-dare game, describing her as a “major participant.”
The letter reads;
It was discovered that your daughter was involved in an improper behavior during the recently concluded World School Games in Dubai.
****** with a few of her counterparts willfully participated in a game they called
“Truth or Dare’, a game which led her and a few other co-learners to carry out immoral act after the lights out instruction was given.
In line with our core values centred on discipline, Chrisland Schools have zero tolerance for any improper behavior and misconduct.
The school added that a full scale investigation had been done and the parents of the erring co-learners have been notified and the need to work with the school so the culpable students can be corrected.
Another part of the letter reads;
In the course of the school efforts to see how best we can help ****** who was
a major participant in the whole incident, every effort to inform you as her
parent about the incident and ensure that this improper behaviour is permanently
corrected, has proved to be futile.
****** is hereby placed on indefinite suspension until you as the parents ensure that she is
punished, adequately counselled and rehabilitated.
