You Are All Determined To Push Nigeria To Precipice – Ezekwesili Tackles Tinubu, Buhari, APC
A former Education Minister, Obiageli Ezekwesili, denounced the activities of the Department of State Services, DSS, calling them disturbing.
Ezekwesili also attacked President Muhammadu Buhari, the Congress of All Progressives, the APC, and President-elect Bola Tinubu, accusing them of appearing determined to push the country to the edge of the abyss.
The former minister’s statement tweeted via her verified Twitter account on Monday follows a report on the arrest of Pastor Tomi Arayomi of RIG Nation and Pioneer Church, UK, his wife of him, and an assistant to the DSS.
The DSS arrested Tomi and his wife for allegedly being on their watch list for the cleric’s public speech.
Although Tomi and his wife have been released and left the country, his assistant is still in the custody of the secret police. Ezekwesili called the DSS, which she said was directly supervised by Buhari, to order them to release Ezirika.
She wrote,
“I wonder what the endgame of @NigeriaGov of @MBuhari, their ruling party @OfficialAPCNg , @officialABAT & their supporters really is, considering how determined to push the country to the precipice they all appear to be. Just look at the state of the Nigerian polity! So sad!
“I read this troubling statement issued by Pastor @TomiArayomi on their arrest and abuse of rights by officers of @OfficialDSSNG. Very sad.
“Where is his Assistant, Emmanuel Ezerika?
“The DSS is directly supervised by @MBuhari who must direct them to release Ezirika immediately.”
