In the spirit of political impartiality, Oyo State PDP Governor changed its name to the First University of Technology in honor of the late APC Governor, Abiola Ajimobi.
The Governor announced the name change during the school’s 2nd convocation and posted it on his social media page.
He wrote:
‘This morning, we attended the second convocation ceremony of the First Technical University, Ibadan. I congratulated all graduands of the university and urged them to be good ambassadors of Tech-U and Oyo State as they move to the next phase of their lives.
I also announced that we have made the decision to rename the university the Abiola Ajimobi First Technical University in honour of my predecessor who established the university.’
