A public affairs commentator, Reno Omokri, challenged Labor Party presidential candidate Peter Obi, accusing him of failing to reprimand his supporters, known as the Complaints.
Omokri said Obi supporters insulted all symbols of Nigeria, including the Archbishop of Christ the Savior Church, Rev. Enoch Adeboye.
PRESLOADED previously reported that Pastor Adeboye on Sunday expressed his optimism that President-elect Bola Tinubu will fix Nigeria with God’s help.
Adeboye, who is represented by his special assistant, Rev. Dele Balogun, spoke at the monthly Thanksgiving ceremony at the RCCG headquarters in Ebute-Metta.
However, Obi’s supporters insulted Adeboye’s alleged statement, calling out his name on various social media platforms. One may recall that Adeboye was dragged into the election by Obi’s supporters before they accused him of refusing to declare support for the former governor of Anambra.
Many speculated that the Christian leader could surreptitiously return the Muslim-Muslim ticket to Tinubu because the incoming first lady is a pastor at her church.
In a post on his social media on Tuesday, Omokri said Obi’s supporters insulted Adeboye; Nobel laureate, Wole Soyinka, and King of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar.
