MIXED FELLINGS AS AMENAGHAWON FAMILY DECLARES SON MISSING
The family of Amenaghawon in Evbuegha, Orhionmwon Local Government Area of Edo State raised alarm over the disappearance of Godfrey Amenaghawon, the only son of their late brother and uncle, late Mr. Patrick Amenaghawon.
Addressing newsmen, the head of Amenaghawon kindred, Pa. Johnson Amenaghawon lamented that the whereabouts of Godfrey Amenaghawon, 24 years has remained a course of concern to the entire family of Amenaghawon as to whether he alive or dead.
Pa. Amenaghawon said that the missing Godfrey Amenaghawon was last seen in June, 2016, saying that before his sudden disappearance he had complained bitterly of how his Aye cult group has continued to threatened his life over his refusal to join them in carrying out their evil acts like stealing, kidnapping and commiting murder as hired assassins.
He said it came to the worst when Godfrey Amenaghawon’s name was penciled to be among those that defiled Evbuegha community shrine when the sacred stone was removed, and the community vowed that if the stone is not returned, those guilty will pay with their life as the required cleansing rite.
Pa. Amenaghawon said Godfrey Amenaghawon’s other friends who were accused to have their hands in the missing sacred stone have been killed, even as the community Chief Priest Osa Imasuen has continued to lead the community able bodied men to their house in search of him.
He said Chief Priest Osa Imasuen during one of their visit to his house said the cleansing rite over the missing sacred stone will only be completed when Godfrey Amenaghawon is killed and his blood used for cleansing.
Pa. Amenaghawon said the chief priest has said the search Godfrey Amenaghawon will have no end until he pays with his life saying that their decision cannot be contended by the government.
He concluded by stating that life without Godfrey Amenaghawon has been a miserable one as he has also being declared wanted for homosexual practice by the Nigerian Police. He said he was lured into it by a friend who he said promised giving him money for the act.
