Peter Obi’s Petition Against Tinubu Is An Effort In Futility, says Ned Nwoko, Gives More Details
Senator-elect Delta North Ned Nwoko said the Labor Party presidential candidate’s petition against Tinubu’s emergence as president-elect was a futile effort.
Punch reports that Nwoko explained that once the president-elect is sworn in, the lawsuit filed against him at the Court of Appeals for the Presidential Election in Abuja may not come to light.
According to him, the Labor Party’s “bad assessment of the situation and unrealistic expectations” led to its defeat. He said if the opposition parties work together, they will defeat the ruling APC in the election due to the “poor performance” of the current APC regime led by President Buhari.
“Once Tinubu is invested as president, he will be in charge of everything. He became commander-in-chief of the armed forces; he orders them and uses them as he wishes. He appointed a new chief justice on the recommendation of the judicial council. So, you see, it was nearly impossible to stop him from completing his four-year term.
To move forward, the PDP and Labor Party must agree and make follow-up elections more strategic. The natural alliance between the two is the only way to save Nigeria from this ominous government. he says
