Labor Party crisis targeted at frustrating Peter Obi – Tanko Yunusa

Dr. Tanko Yususa, a spokesman for the Labor Party Chairman’s Council, said the crisis in the party leadership was not about the besieged national president Julius Abure, but about Peter Obi.

The post-election crisis within the Labor Party took a different turn on Thursday after Nigerian police blocked the party’s secretariat following a power struggle between its leaders.

Yunusa spoke Wednesday in an interview on TV Channel, which is monitored by DAILY POST; he said the confusion in the LP is being orchestrated to frustrate the party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, who is going to court to challenge Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s victory in the February 25 elections.

“We are about to fight for the soul of Nigeria led by Peter Obi; we are now mixed and manipulated within the party to challenge the leadership of the party that is at the forefront of this particular struggle and then give credit to other things. I don’t mean that they don’t have documents to prove against Julius Auber; it should be done in the party. “I have determined that the goal is beyond the party chairman; it’s against our presidential candidate, Peter Obi,” he said.
