LATE MISHARK OMODON FAMILY FACES ANOTHER ATTACK, LOSES DAUGHTER
The family of late Mishark Omodon from Ute-Alohen Community in Ute-Okpu Kingdom, Ika North East Local Government Area has been thrown into mourning following the gruesome murder of their daughter, Miss Happy Omodon, the night before Christmas day, Saturday, December 24, 2022.
It was gathered that the late Miss Happy Omodon was raped and shot to death. A close friend of the deceased who pleaded anonymity said Happy Omodon had been complaining to him that her life and the lives of two of her siblings, Roland Omodon, and Bethel Omodon are under threat since their late father, Mishark Omodon was shot dead by the members of Aromate confraternity on the night of September 1, 2017, over cult clash with Eiye cult group.
According to the source, “Late Miss Happy Omodon and her siblings have since been on the run after the burial of their late father over the threat of the members of Aromate cult group to wipe out their entire family as payback to their late father who they claim had used his influential position to sponsor his Eiye cult group to torment them while alive.
“Late Miss Happy Omodon who had been away for five years visited his hometown, Ute-Alohen to celebrate Christmas when the suspected members of Aromate attacked her and shot her to death.
“The killers of my late friend will never know peace because she was raped mercilessly and shot to death”.
Meanwhile, the Delta State Police Command, Asaba has remained mute over the matter as all efforts to speak with its Public Relations Officer proved abortive. The head of Ute-Alohen Community Policing, Retired Supol Mathew Okafor while condemning the dastardly act assured that everyone behind the murder of Miss Happy Omodon will be brought to book.
