BREAKING: INEC Officials Kidnapped On Way To Collation Centre Regain Freedom

Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officials who were kidnapped Monday from the Maradun Local Government Area in Zamfara have been freed.
According to the NAN report, they were abducted from Governor Bello Matawalle’s hometown on their way to the state council center in Gusau.

Officials were on their way to announce the results of the Maradun gubernatorial election when they were intercepted and taken to an undisclosed location.

But INEC’s public relations officer in the state confirmed their release to reporters, saying the released officials were on their way to Gusau to deliver the results.
