Basic Education Minister Angie Motshekga will update South Africans on the progress of the matric exams on Friday.
The matrics of 2020 have had a tough time of it with many interruptions to their schooling due to the lockdown.
When they finally got to the exams, three papers were leaked. One person has been arrested in connection with the leaks.
It seems at least one paper could have been leaked from the company where the printing took place.
It’s not yet clear if more papers were compromised or if matrics will have to rewrite.
