Akpoteheri Martins Raises Alarm Over Threat To Life
A middle-aged man from Ovu-inland in Ethiope East local government area of Delta States, simply identified as Akpoteheri Ogheneyoma Martins, has raised the alarm over alleged threat to his life by his uncle.
Martins who spoke from his hideout, said the demise of his father, Mr. Solomon Akpoteheri, is at the heart of the problem he is currently facing from his relative who wants to claim his father’s properties.
Martins, who is the only son of his late father, in a report to the Police, explained that the threat to his life started after the burial ceremony of his father held on 17th of March, 2023.
He noted that his father died of a strange illness on February 10, 2023 despite the medical report that claimed his father was okay, adding that after the demise of his father, his relatives collected all his father’s documents and also sent his mother out of the house as allegedly demanded by the tradition.
“As the only child of my late father, I was supposed to take charge of all his properties, but because his siblings have interest in his wealth, they killed him, and also want to kill me being the only child, so as to enable them have their ways,” Martins reported.
Speaking further, Martins said that he had escaped assassination attacks both spiritually and physically, among which he was pushed down the stairs and then broke his left arm.
As at the time of filing this report, Martins still remains in hideout as he claimed not to be safe following the incessant threat to his life.
Meanwhile, he appealed to spirited individuals and human rights organizations to come to his aid.
