AFTERMATH OF 2023 GENERAL ELECTION: ABAVO APC YOUTH LEADER RUNS FOR DEAR LIFE
The Youth Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ward 10, Abavo, Ika South Local Government Area, Comrade James Onyeka Odeh is currently on the run for fear of his life.
An Odeh family source who craves anonymity for fear of life told Ika Weekly reporter that the life of Comrade James Onyeka Odeh is under threat, alleging that thugs in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)want him dead for not consenting to support the party in the 2023 general elections.
“The PDP before the general election has been coming to appeal to Comrade James Onyeka Odeh on behalf of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa who maternally is from Abavo to forget the past and join hands with the PDP to win the 2023 general election with a landslide victory.
“Comrade James Onyeka Odeh who is politically influential was formerly an aggrieved member of PDP but dumped the party to join the APC, claiming that he was betrayed by Okowa for abandoning him for 8 years of his two tenures in office as the governor of Delta State. He rejected all offers of appeal and vowed not to do anything with Okowa and his PDP”.
Continuing, the source further disclosed that Comrade James Onyeka Odeh was attacked during the election on his arrival at his polling unit by an Anti-cult and a group of PDP thugs, who gave him the beating of his life. It was said that it took the intervention of soldiers who arrived at the polling unit that saved him from being killed.
“Comrade James Onyeka Odeh became a wanted person by his attackers and he had to flee for life because the police were reluctant to come to his aid because Delta State is a PDP state”, the source affirmed.
