The 2023 Labor Party candidate for the recently concluded Lagos gubernatorial election, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, has insisted that what happens in the state is a war, not a vote.
Speaking on Arise TV’s morning program on Friday, Rhodes-Vivour also said the accountability of the Independent National Election Commission (INEC) needed to improve as the elections unfolded.
“What happened in Lagos was a war against the people of Lagos no matter how they wanted to color or regulate the water,” said Rhodes-Vivor.
“In Ikoyi, there are Yoruba people who are beaten and influenced by thugs and thugs who enter the place.

In March, INEC declared Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of the Radical People’s Congress, APC, the winner of the Lagos gubernatorial election. Sanwo-Olu got a total of 762,134 to beat the runner-up, Rhodes-Vivour of the Labor Party, who received 312,329 votes, while Abdulazeez Adeniran of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, received 62,449 votes.
