Peter Obi, Labor Party, LP presidential candidate in the upcoming election, has promised to train young people with skills to combat unemployment in Nigeria.
Speaking during a courtesy visit to the Emir of Zazzau, Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, at his palace in Zaria, the presidential candidate lamented that the north was still not fully exploited despite its fertile land.
He guarantees,
“I will priortise agriculture to address unemployment to give you the ample opportunities to showcase their talents for their development and that of the country.”
Peter Obi also promised to revive dwindling industries in the states of Kaduna and Kano and create jobs for thousands of unemployed youth to help the country develop.
He assured that if elected, Nigerians would no longer be tricked into voting because of ethnicity, industry, and religion, but steps would be taken to ensure that politics is divisive by certain politicians’ participation will be completely ignored because of the politics of the issues and prestige.
The LP’s vice-presidential candidate, Yusuf Datti Baba Ahmed, a native of Zaria, urged voters to vote overwhelmingly for the party, saying he would work hard to justify the Nigerian congress.
