A member of the Security and Intelligence Committee of the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), Ambassador Abayomi Nurain Mumuni, has called on opposition candidates to accept the olive branch given by the President. elected Bola Ahmed Tinubu gave them.
The 2011 gubernatorial candidate of the former Progressive Change Congress (CPC) in Lagos State ordered the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate Alhaji Abubakar Atiku and Mr. another candidate to partner with Tinubu, to move Nigeria forward.
He made the revelations in a statement signed by his press assistant, Rasheed Abubakar.
He added that he is confident that Tinubu will lead to common prosperity and development in Nigeria.
He then called on opposition candidates including Atiku and Obi and others to work with Tinubu to move the country forward. Mumuni in the statement expressed satisfaction to be a part of Tinubu’s success story.
He urged opposition candidates to accept the olive branch the president-elect had given them and work with him.
He describes Tinubu’s win as hard-earned and well-deserved.
“I urge the opposition candidates to accept the olive branch the president-elect is giving them and work with him,” Mumuni said.
“It’s been a long and winding journey for him. His fight for the presidency can be compared to the memorable 1974 fight between Mohammed Ali and Joe Frazier. Very challenging and fascinating. It’s humbling because it ended well.
“Asiwaju is my very close uncle. His victory means a lot to me personally because we still have a good relationship. I can attest to his vision, good leadership, listening ability, and management skills.
“He will make a significant contribution to the development of our country. It will also lead to shared prosperity and turn Nigeria’s fortunes around. He showed his ability in building the State of Lagos and making it the focal point.
“The Asiwaju I know has an open-door policy. The people of Nigeria should also support him in his mission to revive hope and strengthen the legacy of the government led by President Muhammadu Buhari.
