The son of Kaduna State Governor Nasir el-Rufai Bashir asked Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike to rescue the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.
Bashir reveals that Wike could be the anointed messiah who will revive the lost glory of the PDP.
Wike has been at odds with the PDP leadership since losing the party’s presidential ticket.
After the PDP primary election defeat, Wike refused to support the party’s flag bearer, Atiku Abubakar.
Wike and his G-5 governors also demanded the resignation of PDP National President Iyorchia Ayu. The governors said Ayu should step down and allow a Southerner to take over as party leader.
They noted that the North could not produce the PDP’s national presidential and presidential candidate.
Due to the defeat, Wike separated himself from Atiku during the presidential election that had just ended.
However, Bashir tweeted:
“Wike can prove to be the anointed messiah who will revive the lost glory of the PDP.
“He stood up for his principles and for the health of our democracy, the opposition must be strong. I really wish him and his team of patriots the best of luck.
