Mr. Yomi Alliyu, a lawyer for Yoruba Nation agitator Sunday Adeyemo, also known as Sunday Igboho, has stated that his client has been discharged due to health concerns.
After 231 days in jail, the pioneer of the Oduduwa Republic was freed by the Government of the Republic of Benin on Monday.
Alliyu informed Vanguard shortly after the release that the agitator was allowed to attend to his health at a Beninese hospital.
“Igboho has not been released; he was just released to be escorted to the hospital,” Alliyu stated.
“I told you the last time we spoke that we’re making plans to take care of his health. As a result, he was released due to his health.”
