Federal Capital Territory’s senatorial candidate for the Labor Party, Ireti kingibe, has been screaming about an alleged decision to rig her election.
According to her, she saw her victory but now she is hiding from her because her opponents are doing everything to rob her of her mission.
Speaking at a press conference in Abuja on Monday, she recounted how thugs attacked the Gwarinpa cooperation center and destroyed the results boards, even those for the presidential election.
“All the tables show there is no over-voting at the polling stations, so how can you now annul the entire regional council? We watched them. Millions of dollars have been bought in this place, and even millions of dollars have been invested in this place. They’re trying to get the seat and that’s not going to happen,” the politicians said.
“We’re not going to watch it and we’re not going to protect that trash. Everywhere they cancel all polling places where we are strong. The INEC reconciliation center was supposed to be strong and secure enough, but they came and tore everything, even the presidential results sheet. The thugs came to the Gwarinpa rally center, attacked it and tore up all the presidential results sheets, and left.
“They find excuses to cancel Usuma district but they can’t, cancel Bwari Central they can’t, this is our stronghold but they can’t. Unfortunately, they found an error in the total and they said it was an over-vote, but the EO said “no, it wasn’t”. Errors written by someone, whether that person intentionally or for what purpose is an error, you can personalize the candidate. What kind of country do we run? What the leaders of this country seek, they will find.
“We people downstairs have heard enough. Sure we’ve heard. When you complain about anything, they will tell you to vote, but when you go to vote they still complain. it is not enough.The will of the people must be done.
