Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike on Tuesday alleged that the suspended National President of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Iyorchia Ayu had an agenda while in office.
Wike alleges that Ayu came to power to accumulate wealth.
Speaking at a press conference, Wike said:
“Ayu has a program, he accumulates wealth, and I’ve said it before. Do you know how many people gave him money? Isn’t Ayu building a university? Where does the money come from?”
Wike and his G-5 governors attacked Ayu when he was the national president of the PDP.
The governor said it was a mistake for the North to produce a national president and PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar.
In the heat of the moment, Wike accused Ayu of corrupt practices.
