Former lawmaker and social critic Shehu Sani sent a message to Labor Party LP candidate Peter Obi and his supporters called the Submissive.
He urged Obi to stop apologizing for the actions of his followers. According to Sani, Obi could kill what he describes as “the lust in his movement”, if he continues to speak out or apologize on their behalf.
His statement was contained in a message via his verified Twitter account on Thursday. Recall that the former governor of Anambra state on Wednesday said that people are now impersonating Obidients to abuse and insult famous figures in the country. Obi vindicated his supporters, known as ‘The Followers’, from being the source of a string of insults against prominent Nigerians, saying they were obedient citizens of law enforcement.
He also condemned the development, emphasizing that it was unacceptable. However, Sani said Bola Tinubu, Atiku Abubakar and President Muhammadu Buhari have never apologized for what their supporters said or did.
He wrote,
“Asiwaju, Atiku & Buhari never denounce or apologise for whatever their supporters say or do. Peter keeps apologising & dissociating. If you keep moving on this apologetic path, you will kill the libido of your movement.You sparked a fire, embrace the inferno with courage.”
