Several Injured As Gunmen Invade Alihagwu Community

Residents of Alihagwu community in Agbor, headquarters of Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State have been thrown into a state of horror, fear, and panic as heavily armed men invaded the community shooting sporadically.
Reports confirmed that the community was thrown into chaos at about 4 pm on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, when the gunmen wearing face masks, drove into the community to wreak havoc.
The invasion had many injured while leaving the community residents in palpable fear and tension, not knowing when the next attack would come.
This was the latest in a series of calculated armed invasions in Agbor since the conduct of the Delta State Governorship and House of Assembly election held on March 18, 2023.
Available information on the motive behind the attacks revealed that the perpetrators as gunmen, were sponsored by political warlords who declared war against some youths, particularly Felix Obara, John Dumbiri, and others who sabotaged their plans to win the elections.

Meanwhile, information from a reliable source disclosed that Felix Obara had reported a case of threat to his life to the police, as he has constantly received strange calls threatening to kill him and other betrayers.
The hoodlums vented mayhem on John Dumbiri who was caught and macheted his head for him to bleed to death while Felix Obara narrowly escaped.
The community while crying out, appealed for the immediate intervention of the state government to stop the dastardly attacks and restore calm and peace to the area.
At the time of filing this report, Felix Obara had fled the community for the safety of his life.
