PRO-BIAFRA PROTEST: CHUKWUMA DANIEL DECLARED WANTED
Sequel to the protest for the actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra and the release of Nnamdi Kanu of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), on August 30, 2015, in Onitsha, Anambra State, the Nigerian Army, and the Police have declared one Chukwuma Daniel wanted.
Our reporter gathered that the intended peaceful protest was disrupted by soldiers who shot sporadically into the air to disperse the large crowd of protesters and in the process, many were killed by stray bullets, others were seriously injured and hospitalized.
It was further gathered that Chukwuma Daniel’s name and two others, Chinedu and Chukwusheri were penciled to be the three-man leaders who championed the protest and are wanted.
The declaration of Chukwuma Daniel as a wanted person was brought to the notice of his home town, Agbor, Delta State when soldiers and police men stormed his family house in search of him on December 5, 2015.
A closed relative of Chukwuma Daniel who spoke to newsmen on condition of anonymity said the life of his brother (Chukwuma Daniel) is seriously under threat, adding that one of the soldiers who visited their family house in search of him in confidence said he would be killed whenever seen as it is an order from above.
Continuing, the source said the soldiers also disclosed that two other leaders who led the protest, Chinedu and Chukwusheri have been killed; thanking God that Chukwuma Daniel was nowhere to be found when soldiers stormed their home.
According to the source, “We his family members were also informed that his father has been arrested and remanded in undisclosed prison custody for the failure to provide his son, Chukwuma Daniel. The worry of the Chukwuma’s family at this period is Chukwuma Danile’s whereabouts and safety now that the soldiers and the police want him dead”.
The family source further revealed that Chukwuma Daniel grew up in Onitsha under the care of his father since he lost his mother at the age of four, appealing that whoever has information on his whereabouts should protect him.
The wanted Chukwuma Daniel was born on December 25, 1995, he is chocolate in complexion, speaks Ika Language, Igbo, and Pidgin English fluently.
