Presidential election: Peter Obi sends a message to Nigerians amid arguable results

The Labor Party’s presidential candidate, LP, Peter Obi,  has advised his supporters and all Nigerians to remain calm.

The former Governor of Anambra made the call Tuesday morning at Asaba Airport in Delta State.

Obi, who was traveling to Abuja, was questioned by a resident on the same flight.

“We have to stay calm, consistent, and persistent,” said the standard holder.

“All we ask is good governance. Let the government take care of the poor.

There were peaceful protests in parts of the country as citizens were accused of falsified results, excessive voting, and disenfranchisement.

Obi is currently in third place behind Bola Tinubu of the All Progressive Congress, APC, and Atiku Abubakar, the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.

At least 20 states have been officially declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

The release of state results continues today at the National Reconciliation Center in Abuja.
