The Zamfara State Police deploys 2200 officers to protect the safety and security of persons and property in the state during the upcoming Eid-El-Kabir Sallah celebrations, which are set to take place on July 20th and 21st, 2021.

According to a statement issued on Monday by the State Police Commissioner, CP Hussaini Rabiu, the arrangement is geared at meeting the security demands of the 14 Local Government Areas in Zamfara.

“The approach aims to protect vulnerable areas such Eid prayer grounds, leisure centers, key highways, government and private infrastructures from security threats.

This vital mission will be carried out in collaboration with other security agencies and other key partners in order to ensure a peaceful and trouble-free celebration,” the statement reads in part.

Personnel involved in this particular assignment are under strong orders from the Commissioner of Police to conduct themselves in a civil but firm manner.

The Command, on the other hand, warned parents and guardians to keep their children away from any act that could jeopardize the state’s tranquility.

Any person or group detained for breaking the law will be subjected to the full force of the law.
The Commissioner of Police facilitated Eid-el-Kabir celebrations for Muslim faithful and other people in the state, and urged them to work with the police and other security authorities to ensure peaceful celebrations.
