Police declares Akachi Daniel wanted

The Nigeria Police Force, Abia State command, has declared one of the agitators for the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) identified as Akachi Daniel Onwanezi, wanted.

Akachi Daniel was wanted by the police for allegedly inciting group of youths in Abia State, to an acts of violence against Nigeria security force during what was expected to be a peaceful protest for the Nigerian government to free their detained IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu, who was on the formal movement for the actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra.

It was gathered that Daniel and others identified as Samson, Ikenchukwu, Roland, Christian (now at large), on the 9th of February, 2016 staged an unlawful demonstration at Saint Michael road in Aba, Abia State which later spread through some parts of Anambra state before the Nigerian army that unfortunately opened fire.

This, however led to lost of lives while the now wanted Akachi Daniel and few of his gang members narrowly escaped with bullet woods.

It was alleged that at 6am, members of South-East Pro-biafra group took to the streets, some naked, and were confronted by soldiers, an action that allegedly led to scores of people losing their lives.

The pro-Biafra groups blocked most major streets in Aba, Onitsha and Niger Bridge head, which made most people to remain indoors and all markets, particularly in Onitsha were closed.

The police therefore request anybody with useful information as to the whereabout of Akachi Daniel to report to the police headquarters in Abia States.
