Passengers are stranded as BRT operations are halted according to Bamise Ayanwole.

Passengers were left stranded at several Service Rapid Transit terminals across the state on Tuesday morning, with no bus in sight.
There are reports that the BRT has halted operations due to the death of 22-year-old Bamise Ayanwole, who was allegedly abducted and killed after boarding a BRT car on Friday.

Our eyewitness confirmed that there were no buses at the Ikorodu BRT terminal to transport stranded passengers to their respective destinations.

An anonymous Primero official revealed to The PUNCH that the BRT operations have been temporarily suspended across the state due to the regrettable occurrence that resulted in Bamise’s death.

However, he assured passengers that the state government was handling the situation and that services will be restored as soon as possible.

When asked what was being done, the official claimed he couldn’t answer.

All attempts to contact Primero’s headquarters were futile as of the time of filing this report, since all calls went unanswered.
