The family of Fada of Aliegwe quarters, Owa-Alero in Ika North East Local Government of Delta State, has declared one of their sons, a father of four children and an Inspector of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Mr. Godwin Okeruwa Fada missing.
Ika Weekly gathered from a family source on condition of anonymity that the life of missing Godwin has been under threat over money accusation. According to the source, “Our brother (Godwin) before now has not been himself since he returned from a military operation in one of the northern states troubled by Boko Haram.
“It came to a worst with Godwin when flood took over his residence in Oko, Asaba, the capital of Delta State in September this year and rendered him and his household homeless.
“In the midst of the flood menace, Godwin Okeruwa Fada was accused by the youths of Oko of diverting a huge amount of money brought by a philanthropic organization to put smile on the face of Oko people.
“The accusation resulted in threat to the life of Godwin, even as Oko youths vowed to kill him if he fails to provide the money. The continued threat has made him to abandon his family for the safety of his life”.
Further lamenting, the source said the unknown whereabouts of Mr. Godwin has remained a thing to worry especially for the Fada family if he is still alive.
