My stinginess Will Help Nigeria Develop – Obi Responds to Tinubu

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), has stated that if elected president of Nigeria in the upcoming presidential election, he will be prudent in the management of public funds.

Remember that the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, had previously described Obi as a stingy man who could not be trusted with the country’s future.

However, Obi, speaking at a campaign rally in Akure, Ondo State, on Saturday, said the country would be safer in the hands of a stingy man like him.

The LP candidate stated that he would be able to invest in education, health, the economy, and other areas to help the country develop.

HE SAID:

“Yes they said l am stingy, but we are not out to steal the nation’s wealth. All we want to do is use the nation’s money to help our people and the country’s development.

“They said that I’m stingy; we want stingy people now, so that we can keep the money. We want to make certain that your money is used to transform the country.

“This election that is coming now, don’t vote for anybody because of tribe but vote for someone that will move the country forward.

“We don’t want anybody to say that it is my turn; we want to change Nigeria for better. Our children will be in school; we do not want people to flee Nigeria. Nigeria must be structured for development. So, go get your PVCs, vote Labour Party, and make sure the vote is counted.
