1. His full names are William Folorunso Kumuyi
2. He was born into a Christian family on the 9th of June 1941.
   He was born in Erin-Ijesha in Osun state, Nigeria.
   His parents were Anglicans who taught him the importance of God’s words as they would always rise up early in the morning to sing hymns, read the Bible and pray.
   Like many born into religious families, he got to encounter the experiential knowledge of Jesus when he left home for high school in another region.
3. He attended Mayflower School in Ikenne where he graduated with a diploma in 1961.
4. He got born again on a Sunday in April, 1964. He was a lover of books written by John Finney, Charles Spurgeon, and these resources sparked embers of growth in his spiritual life.
5. He was admitted into the University of Ibadan and in 1967 graduated with a first-class honours degree in mathematics.
6. After five years of teaching at his high school Alma Mata, he proceeded to the University of Lagos to pursue a Postgraduate Certificate in Education.
7. He became a lecturer in the University in 1973 and that was when he started a small Deeper Life Bible Study group which would later grow into a spiritual wide-fire all over the world.
8. The Deeper Life Bible Study group started as a 15 member Bible group in his quarters at the University of Lagos in August 1973.
9. By late 1976, the membership of the study group under his tutelage had grown to over 1500 people.
10. He married his wife on September 13, 1980 in Lagos.
    The full names of his wife are Abiodun Kumuyi (nee Olowu)
11. Pastor W.F. Kumuyi has been widely acclaimed as a gifted man, clear-thinking and humble.
12. The marriage was blessed with two sons, Jeremiah and John, both of whom are devoted Christians.

12. His wife passed on to glory on Saturday, April 11, 2009 with great joy and singing.
13. Pastor Kumuyi remarried in October 2010 in London, about 18 months after the death of his first wife, Abiodun Kumuyi.
14. Pastor Kumuyi’s messages are clear, simple, at the same time, carrying much weight and conviction. It is captivating that poor street merchants and academics all find the application of his messages in their life.
