Matina Agawua, a Nasarawa State native, has explained why she slept with her biological son.
The mother admitted to sleeping with her son to see if she was pregnant in a recent interview with The Nation.
When Agawua’s first husband died, she chose to be a widow for 13 years, according to her. Her first spouse was killed by herders in Northern Nigeria, she revealed. Her first marriage resulted in the birth of a son.
She remarried years after her first husband’s death, but after six years of marriage, she struggled to have a child with her second husband, Mr James.
The woman said that her in-laws tried to show her the door since she was unable to bear a child for their son.
“We had been married for almost six years but were still childless owing to my husband’s fault, according to a doctor’s report, and I heard via the grapevine that he was preparing to find a second wife on the grounds that I couldn’t give him a child.”
She said that while she had reproductive testing, her husband did not believe it was essential to get a medical examination to determine the root of the problem.
She said that she suspected her husband of having a low spe#m count, which prevented him from fathering a kid, despite the fact that she had passed all of her tests. The woman claimed she slept with her sole kid from her first marriage during this crisis.
“I chose to persuade my young son, who is approximately 16 years old and attends school in Akwanga, because he is not comfortable with us going for a medical checkup on the premise that nothing was wrong with him.” I pay him regular visits. He lives with my family in a private apartment, so I was going there to spend time with them, especially on weekends when my market is closed.

“I paid him a visit one faithful day during my ovulation time.
“When I inquired if he’d ever had s*x, he responded no. I took him in my arms and held him there. I felt warm this time, and I believe he did as well. After that night, I felt humiliated and terrible for committing such a heinous crime against my own kid.
“I advised him to keep it a secret since it was genuinely a taboo.”
