MASSOB: POLICE DECLARED JOHN OLUA WANTED
Young activist whose name was given as John Olua, is currently on the run for the safety of his life.
Olua was said to have disappeared from his resident at Awada in Onitsha on September 14, 2005 having been informed that the Nigerian police has declared him wanted for allegedly being a stakeholder (Provost) of a secession group under the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (M.A.S.S.O.B) in Onitsha, Anambra State.

It could be recalled that the leader of MASSOB, Chief Ralph Uwazuruike, was earlier arrested and detained on treason charge as the Nigerian government accused his group (MASSOB) of fueling violence while advocating for the independent state of Biafra for the Igbo people of Eastern Nigeria.

They described the activities of MASSOB as “illegal and treasonable,” adding that MASSOB posed “a threat to the nation’s security” while promoting ethnic militia.
This, however preceded the clamped down of all office holders of MASSOB in Anambra State wherein John Olua luckily escaped and his whereabout has remained unknown.
The police called on those with useful information about the whereabout of Olua, to report to the nearest police station.
