Man Set on Fire by his Ex-Girlfriend

Stanley Obi, a Nigerian who lived in Australia and was set ablaze by his jilted ex-girlfriend, died in a Brisbane hospital.

Stanley Obi, 33, had 90% of his body burned after his ex-girlfriend Sarah Mudge doused him and his new boyfriend in gasoline.

At 3 a.m. on Thursday, she set them on fire at their home in New Beith, Brisbane’s southern suburbs.

The estranged couple’s three children slept in the adjacent room and were rescued.

Stanley Obi’s home in New Beith, Brisbane, Australia, was destroyed by fire.

Mudge, 30, perished in the fire, but a gallant neighbor called Al retrieved the loving father’s flaming body from the ruins.

In a severe condition, he was rushed to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, but he died shortly before 10 p.m. on Thursday, leaving their children orphans.

Mr Obi’s new girlfriend, 30, and three children, ages five, three, and two, managed to flee the flaming house, according to the Daily Mail.

While authorities are still trying to put together what happened in the hours leading up to the attack, it has been revealed that Mudge was upset about the outcome of a court hearing the day before, according to The Courier Mail.

Mudge’s Facebook page is crammed with images and adoring postings about her kids, including one in which she says her kids have given her strength during difficult times.

‘You have your children when you have no strength left; when you are fatigued, they invigorate you; and when your heart is in sadness, they bring joy to your soul.’ ‘Thank you for selecting me,’ she wrote to her children.
