JUST ARRIVED!!! Thugs invade a polling station, shoot and destroy election materials in Lagos
As Nigerians elect their new leader today, political thugs invaded a polling station at Agboola Obisanya Crossing in the Mafoluku area of Lagos State.
NAijaloaded reports that thugs opened fire and destroyed all official documents of the Independent National Election Commission (INEC).
They also kicked voters out of the community polling stations.
According to Lawal Adeojo, a resident of Mafoluku, the group of thugs announced their presence around 1 pm this afternoon (Saturday), with sporadic gunfire.
“I saw people running. Many are now scared of coming out to go for accreditation and voting,” Adeojo said.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Lagos State Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, did not respond to calls and texts seeking comment on the incident at the time of publication of this report.
