As reported Gunmen kidnapped mother of Jigawa APC senatorial candidate Honourable Tijjani Ibrahim Gaya, for Jigawa Central senatorial district.
Hajia Jaja, was reported abducted from her house in Kiyawa Local Government Area of Jigawa State on Monday night, June 20.
Informants of Jigawa State Police Command, DSP Lawal Shisu, who affirmed the incident, said the suspected kidnappers stormed the house of the senatorial candidate and moved the victim to unknown location.
Atter receiving the report of the abduction, the state commissioner of police mobilised a special police team for the rescue of the victim, Even as they search for other useful information.
He instructed that the see to immediate arrest of the suspects and rescue of the victim.
An eyewitness from Kiyawa gave report to the newsmen that the gunmen came in their number of about 15 to 20 storming the area in three vehicles.
