INEC declares LP victory in the presidential election in Anambra 

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has declared Labor Party, Peter Obi, LP presidential candidate Peter Obi the winner of Saturday’s presidential election in Anambra State.

Obi, as PRESLOADED previously reported, has swept all 21 local government areas in the state by a large margin.

The Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO) Vice-Chancellor, Professor Nnenna Otti, who is working as an Anambra State Collaborator, announced the results at 12:50 pm.

She said: “The total number of registered voters is 2,536,156 and accredited voters were 628,590.

“At the end of the exercise, parties scored the following votes;
A – 343
AA – 108
AAC – 1012
ADC – 208
ADP – 299
APC – 5,111
APGA – 7,388
APM – 325
APD – 148
BP – 514
LP – 584,621
NNPP – 1,967
NRM – 118
PDP – 9,036
PRP – 62
SDP – 84
YPP – 1997
ZLP -1,420″

The state of Anambra has a total of 613,861 valid votes. The number of invalid votes is 10,751 and the total number of votes cast is 624,612.

At the time of submission of this report, Dr. Elizabeth Agwu, INEC’s Re-reading Officer and Resident Electoral Commission in Anambra State had left the National Rereading Center in Abuja.
