Inauguration Committee: Tinubu Already Serving South Easterners ‘Bread Soaked In Water’ — Nwodo

Okwesilieze Nwodo, former national president of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), said President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu, had started serving Ndigbo “a piece of bread dipped in water”.
Nigerian Information reiterates that it was precisely on January 11,  Tinubu, while at Michael Okpara Square to participate in a presidential campaign, called on the Southeast to work for his victory. and of the Progressive Congress (PCA).

He had said,

“… nobody will give you any credit, you are working hard, you’re sweating now.

“We want you to sweat well now for this party until you deliver victory.

“Until Bola Tinubu becomes the President of Nigeria, we will not give you but a soaked sliced bread.”

But on Monday, reacting to Igbos’ exclusion from Tinubu’s 14-person investment committee, Nwodo said Tinubu served Igbos the “dipped sliced ​​bread” as promised.

The former Governor of Enugu state, in an interview with Vanguard, said that any Nigerian president who does not make a dedicated effort to unite ethnic groups in Nigeria will fail miserably.

Nwodo also lamented repeated attacks on Igbos in Lagos State, who he said were punished for voting according to their conscience in the general election.

Speaking about President Muhammadu Buhari’s apology to the Nigerian people, the former politician said it was too late and not enough to heal the hurt he had caused the Nigerian people.

Nwodo, who gave the Congress-led All Progressives federal government a staggering 30%, said insecurity, ethnic bigotry, and hunger had spread across Nigeria during his rule.

Recall that the President apologized to the people of Nigeria, saying he did his best and looking forward to returning home to Daura,  Katsina State.
