I’m Not Doing Any Political Party For Now — Yakubu Dogara

Yakubu Dogara, the former Speaker of the House of Representatives, said he is not currently a member of any political parties in the country.
The lawmaker made his point on the Channel’s Politics Today program on Wednesday, saying he is not a member of the All Progressive Congress (APC), the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), or any other any party in the League.

After boycotting the APC after the Muslim-Muslim ticket party presidential primaries, Dogara revealed that all he does now is support candidates from all parties for elective positions in the 2023 general election.

The former speaker, who has clearly endorsed PDP flag bearer Atiku Abubakar against APC’s Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the presidential election, explained that his supporting candidates from different parties for The different constituency seats do not mean that he is a rumored “unstable character”.

However, he stressed that he was not politically unstable, noting that he could not abandon the candidates he helped win constituencies.
