I Was Drinking 40-Year-Old Whiskey While Atiku, PDP Protested – Wike Mock Atiku (VIDEO)

Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike mocked the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, over the protest against the February 25 election results by the National Election Commission. Independent State (INEC) announced.
Atiku and Iyorchia Ayu, the National President of the PDP, led other Party leaders to protest against allegations of violations that affected the conduct of the presidential election.

News Nigeria has reported that the Party has categorically rejected the results of the exercise showing Radical Plenary Congress (APC) candidate Bola Ahmed Tinubu becoming president-elect.

Wike, while addressing his constituents, mocked his party saying it had become a ‘union’, adding that he was drinking 40-year-old whiskey when Atiku led the Protesters to come to INEC headquarters to protest.

However, he calls them “student union” chanting “aluta continua”. “What is in us is greater than what is in them,” the governor said in a mixture of English and dialect.

“As they were protesting, I just sat down and I took one 40-year-old whiskey. I called some of my friends ‘o boy, sit down. Make una sit down open 40 years.

“Then I put on television, see as dem dey do marching (Mimics). They have become labour union, they have become students union ‘all we are saying…’ chai. You are saying what? What are you saying?

“That you have taken over the role of students’ union, aluta continua. That is what the party has become, aluta continua.”
