History Of Joseph Ayo Babalola University (JABU)

Joseph Ayo Babalola University (JABU) is a private Nigerian university located in Ikeji-Arakeji, Osun State, Nigeria, founded in 2004 by the Apostolic Church of Christ (CAC) worldwide. The university is named after the first spiritual leader of the Apostolic Church of Christ, Joseph Ayo Babalola (1904–1959); it is located where the apostle was called by God to kill the elf Ogobungo in 1928. Joseph Ayo Babalola University is a purely residential facility. The university offers courses in the following colleges; Agricultural sciences, environmental sciences, humanities, law, management sciences, natural sciences, social sciences and health sciences. Due to the school’s Christian background, boys and girls on campus are encouraged to wear extremely modest clothing on campus. It is the first business university in Nigeria. The first Rector of the University was His Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Oladele Olashore (CON).

In addition, it provides accommodation for its students along with other facilities including a library and high-quality academic buildings.
