Igbinedion University, Okada (IUO) is a private university in Nigeria (West Africa). It was established and established on May 10, 1999, under a certificate of approval from the Federal Government of Nigeria with Certificate No. 001. As a result, Igbinedion University becomes an accredited private university first in Nigeria and students from the foundation arrived at Okada on Friday, October 15, 1999. The university is located in Okada, the seat of the Northeastern Local Government Area of ​​Ovia, Edo State. The university was founded by Sir Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion CFR, a Benin-based philanthropist and leader. The university’s graduate and undergraduate programs are accredited by the National University Commission (NUC) and relevant professional bodies.
