Al-Hikmah University

Al-Hikmah University is an Islamic university located in Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria. It was founded in 2005 by the Nigeria-based AbdulRaheem Oadimeji Islamic Organization (AROIF) and the Jeddah-based World Congress of Muslim Youth (WAMY).[1] Professor Muhammed Taofeek Olalekan Ibrahim is a former Vice-Chancellor. He was replaced by Professor Noah Yusuf. who is the current Vice-Principal. Al-Hikmah University’s goal is to be a center of intellectual and ethical excellence.

The University came into existence through the granting of a business license to operate as a regular private university by License No. 010 of the Federal Government of Nigeria on 7 January 2005. It began its academic activities in the 2005-2006 academic session with 70 students distributed in three take-off colleges:
Humanities, management sciences and natural sciences.

Al-Hikmah University has partnered with the National Drug Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) to combat drug abuse, especially among young people. Also with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
