Federal University of Technology, Minna

The Federal University of Technology, Minna (FUTMINNA) is a federally-owned university located in Minna, Nigeria.

FUTMINNA specializes in technology education. Offers Bachelor of Technology, and Master of Technology in a variety of technology-related fields.[4] The university is a designated Center of Excellence in Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering and has core competencies in vaccine and drug development, as well as small arms design in partnership with the Armed Forces. FUTMINNA was established in 1983 and the first Vice-Chancellor was Professor J.O. Ndagi, who served from 1983 to 1990. The governing bodies are the Council and the Senate. First, the school took over the facilities of the former Bosso Government Teachers College for long-term use. This site now serves as the university’s Bosso Campus. Gidan Kwano main campus, located on 10,650 hectares of land, is located along Minna – Kataeregi – Bida road. Library

The university library was established in 1984 and is known as Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida is the amino library serving all the facilities. The library subscribes to multiple databases with more than 80,000 collections of printed books, journals, and other materials to advance the teaching, learning, and research of the academic community. The information technology services division has more than 350 Internet-connected computers that provide access to electronic resources. The current University Librarian is Dr Katamba Abubakar Saka, The Main Library consists of the following units:
