“However, one of our most respected people in the South, Premier Olusegun Obasanjo, endorsed one of the candidates, Labor Party’s Peter Obi ahead of election day, even if it deserves more respect for him sitting on the fence Well, that’s forgivable.

“If anyone advises on the credibility of elections, it is not someone like Obasanjo because Nigerians are not ignorant of what happened under his rule. The elections that produced it in 1999 and 2003 were questionable. He is the product of most elections and also the one who conducted one of the most fraudulent elections in the history of Nigerian democracy in 2007. The late Yar’Adua (may Allah be with him) to heaven) also acknowledged the electoral flaws that got him in. Whoever calls his neighbor a thief must come with clean hands.

“Following the efforts of the Independent National Election Commission (INEC) for the February 25 presidential and legislative elections, it is fitting to commend voters for their efforts to make the election fair. as transparent as possible. “Although there is still room for improvement and some issues have almost rendered the effort futile, INEC is commendable. The Commonwealth and ECOWAS even praised voters for the election.
