DISSONANCE‎. You ever feel like everything’s too short? Too small? ‎I feel like that sometimes. ‎Sometimes, I feel like I’m always falling short.

Like I’m too small. ‎ ‎Like I’m always missing something—or everything’s always missing something. ‎Like life was a jigsaw puzzle and the piece that is me doesn’t fit anywhere. ‎ ‎Like my body does things I don’t want it to and my mind has nothing on my thoughts. ‎

Like I’m the audience and the cast all at the same time. ‎ ‎Like I’m always too slow. ‎Too slow to move forward in this river… ‎Never drifting back to where I started, no— ‎Always just a little behind, ‎ ‎Until I can’t reconcile the me in the river with the me in my scrapbook. ‎

The me in my mind never counted. ‎ ‎Everyone’s busy living. Tearing out a place for themselves. ‎Some are cool going with the flow. ‎I don’t want to go with the flow, but I don’t seem to have
