In Lagos State, a dispatch rider was nabbed with a baby discovered in his delivery box.
The event occurred in Lagos’ Sangotedo Area, where a mob converged around the yet-to-be identified rider.
The rider was pummeled by a mob as he was brought to a police station, according to a video uploaded on Twitter.
Someone in the background was overheard stating,
“This is the child that was abducted.”
The police have yet to comment on the incident, which has raised concerns about the state’s high rate of crime and criminality.
The circumstances underlying the child’s confinement in the box were unknown at the time of writing this report.
The Sangotedo axis, which includes Ajah, Abijo, and Lekki, is one of Lagos’ most notorious neighborhoods.
The news comes as a result of the outcry surrounding the death of a 22-year-old fashion designer who went missing after riding a BRT in the region.
