The Union of Northern Groups (CNG) has warned that no one appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari on allegations of corruption will be allowed to leave Nigeria.
CNG also said CBN Governor Godwin Emefiele is not allowed to leave the country until all charges against him are resolved.

CNG spokesman, Abdul-Azeez Suleiman, made the point in Abuja on Thursday during a press conference.

He added that people with such motives should be treated as enemies of the state and dealt with according to the provisions of the land law.

Suleiman said,

“We demand that when the present administration of President Muhammadu Buhari bows out of office, all key office holders must be asked to clear themselves of all pending corruption and other allegations against them.”

CNG specifically emphasized that the Governor of CBN must be held accountable to the incoming administration for his term, and said that if Emefiele or any other suspect official is allowed to leave school, it should be rescinded. . authority, accountability, and good governance.
